The Kona Dr Dew is the flagship model of the Kona Dew range. It has various features common to all Kona Dew models, namely:-

Kona Dr Dew features

The top of the range Dr Dew is a no-compromise, performance street bike, for rapid commuting and for exploring miles of country lanes at the weekend.

The model sticks with the rigid Project Two alloy front fork and the lovely tapered tube frame of the Dew Deluxe, teamed with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes for all-weather performance.

The upgraded Shimano Deore LX rear derailleur and larger chainset show that this is a bike made for speed. The Freedom Ryder 2 wheel rims are sleeker, as is the saddle, both reinforcing the point. The handlebar is flatter and smarter, and the grippier pedals will keep you feeling more secure.

With its subtle charcoal grey and tan paintwork and graphics, this is a grown-up bike that is going to turn heads (just click on the image for a better look).

I think it’s quite impressive that Kona have managed to put this package together and leave you change from £1000. It’s still a lot of money, to be sure, but this top-of-the-range model will not disappoint anyone with the budget to spend on a very nice bike indeed.

The Doctor is actually a bit of an icon in the street bike world, with a devoted following. The 2012 model looks like it will continue the story.
